Jersey Knit Pet Bed – Oh So Comfy Sale

Every furry friend needs a place of comfort to sleep and rest. Our Jersey Knit version of this pet bed is just the ticket. The pattern is included in the Simplicity 1946 Robe pattern set. If you have the pattern, order the Jersey Knit Pack to create the same pillow as our sample.

Design Elements: our sample is made with patchwork squares to create the yardage needed to cut out the round shape of the pillow. The bottom of the pillow is one fabric – the Jersey Knit  – Spray – Midnight Blue. The pillow is constructed with an inner pillow form and an outer pillow that can be removed and washed. The pillow is sewn around the edges and closed with a zipper. 

Kit Options:

• Fabric Pack:  Jersey Knit for outside of pillow, muslin for pillow form, zipper for pillow. The pillow fill is not included.
• Fabric Pack + Pattern: Includes everything as listed in the Fabric Pack option + Pattern Simplicity 1946.
• Sewing Techniques: sewing a straight seam; attaching a zipper.

  Recommended Fabric: 72 Batik Cotton Jersey Knit.

  Skill Level:  Confident Beginner.

  Conventional Sewing Machine Serger: Either. Garment sewing is faster with a serger, but it s not required to sew on Batik Cotton Jersey Knit. When sewing Jersey Knit with your conventional sewing machine use the overlock stitch and foot to secure the seam edges.
